Understanding how returns and refunds work on our marketplace.

Our Role as a Marketplace

Home Made Nepal is a platform that connects independent sellers (artisans and home-based businesses) directly with buyers. We do not handle inventory, shipping, or payments. Each seller manages their own shop, products, and policies.

Returns and Refunds are Handled by the Seller

Because all transactions are made directly between you and the seller, all return, exchange, and refund policies are set by the individual seller.

Before making a purchase, we strongly recommend you do the following:

  • Carefully read the product description and details.
  • Examine the product photos.
  • Communicate directly with the seller to ask any questions you may have about the product, its quality, or their specific return policy.

How to Initiate a Return or Discuss an Issue

If you have an issue with your order or would like to request a return or refund, you must contact the seller directly using the contact information you received when you placed the order.

Sellers are responsible for resolving any issues with their customers, including but not limited to:

  • Products that are not as described.
  • Items damaged during shipping (if arranged by the seller).
  • Wrong items received.

Our Recommendation

We encourage all our sellers to be fair and reasonable with their customers. However, the final decision regarding any return or refund rests with the seller. As most items are homemade and often made-to-order, many sellers may not be able to accept returns unless the product is faulty or significantly different from its description. Please clarify this with the seller before you finalize your purchase.

Disputes

Home Made Nepal does not mediate disputes between buyers and sellers. We encourage open and respectful communication to resolve any issues. However, if you believe a seller has violated our platform's terms of service, you can report it to us through our contact page.
